I finally ventured out and used the metro for the first time...wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, I had a few delays, but overall it was very easy to use. I went to Bethesda, Maryland, and met my friend Jessica and her daughter Bella. She used to live in Tucson and was in the same program as I (that is how we met). It was a wonderful afternoon; we ate at a delicious Thai restaurant and wandered around a bit. It was nice to actually see a familiar face from home! We hopefully will be getting together again a few times before I leave.
